As the  exams and other exams  draws closer most candidates and students have now joined a cbt tutorial class, or an extra moral class just to shapen their brain and text their academic abilities as they engage themselves with JAMB , WAEC and NECO and numerous  past questions.
As we all know that the JAMB , WAEC and NECO  syllabus are vast and will take a super brain to be able to accommodate and digest all that have been read,as most candidates who take JAMB are also sitting for waec and neco exams respectively.

Factors that makes you forget all you have read :

The brain can store vast amount of information, the question is why can’t we use this memories when we need them most?

Have you ever been in the examination hall and couldn’t remember anything you read the previous day before the exam, Your brain  just went blank the very hour in which you need it most ? Some call it exam fever, while others have attributed it to their village people who don’t want them to succeed academically. But the fact remains that there are numerous factors that can contribute to this common problem. I will be listing these factors below;

What makes you to forget all you have read?

  • Distraction
  • Stress
  • Fatigue
  • Multitasking

How to remember everything you have read: Focus:

Staying focused can help you accomplish almost anything in life, from studying for Jamb cbt  examination  to Pass your Jamb once and for all,  this is not limited to 2018 jamb cbt exams. Staying focused can help improve your professional life, help you listen to people better, and also help you come up with a solution to problems at a quicker speed.

Multi-task less:

avoid multi-tasking your brain, what I mean by multi-task is when you try to do numerous things on a spot, trying to accomplish divergent objectives at same time is wrong as this will over stress your brain.

A lot of students can’t read without responding to unrelated chats on WhatsApp groups
some will be watching a movie at same time reading
while others will prefer listing to music as they read.
Please if you do any of the above please stop it, it won’t do you any good.

Avoid distractions:

avoid anything that will distract you from reading your books, practicing past questions because distraction is an enemy of focus. Avoid distraction like

chatting online

surfing the net for unrelated stuff online
Playing games while reading
Don’t take caffeine and alcohol
a serious student should avoid all this, reading under the influence of alcohol no matter what will only lead to disappointment as this will make you jittery or shaky after a few hours, thereby not assimilating all you have read.

Discusses all you have read with friends:

when I was in school this is my best strategy, we used to form reading groups where each one will teach what he or she understands based on a particular topic.

doing this will make you familiar with the topic.

Make a small note :

as you progress with what you read its necessary you make a note of the most important things you have understand in what you are reading. Making of note is very important, this will not only serve as a reference guide but will increase your chances of remembering all you have read.

Revise all you have read:

make sure you revise all you have read over and over again, so as to let it sing inside of you, there by making it impossible for you to forget all you have read.
Reading position to remember all you have read

Adopt the best reading position:

Makes sure you Sit up straight in a chair in a relaxing position, back straight, feet flat on the floor, avoid sleeping on the bed while reading as you can easily dose off
